-- PERSONALITY
-- LAID-BACK: Logan's innate ability to get along with practically anyone draws people to him in flocks, though he only has a handful of close friends. Full of wit and charm, you really can't help but like Logan. Unless of course you're unable to appreciate his humorous and sometimes deadpan sarcasm. It's all in good fun though and he avoids confrontation whenever possible. His easy-going nature and somewhat calming influence often makes him the trustworthy and reliable 'go-to guy' for people in problematic situations. Coupled with his natural intellect and general likeableness, Logan is a born leader and adapts easily to new and challenging situations. Although comfortable taking control of things, he's not easily threatened and will quickly step-down whenever needed. In fact, he usually tries to avoid taking on huge responsibilities whenever possible.
-- UNINVESTED: While extremely intelligent, Logan could definitely be described as an underachiever. Coasting his way through highschool, Logan found that his ability to talk his way around anything made it pretty much unnecessary for him to actually 'try'. Sure, he has dreams, but Logan has found that doing the minimum of what you're told is just so much easier. In fact, he does his best to live by a 'no-strings-attached' policy. For instance, his job. Not one day has he actually taken it seriously, yet somehow he's worked his way up to assistant manager. Just like everything else in his life, if he looses his job, he would be fine. With little investment comes no strings. He thrives off knowing that at any given moment, he could do something else with his life and be totally okay. His incredible empathy for others is often sidetracked by his lack of emotional investment in personal relationships and he often opts for more detached forms of affection. If he doesn't get too close, he doesn't have to worry about getting hurt. It's just the way he was raised. This makes him incredibly hard to actually get close to; which brings us to his next trait...
-- PRIVATE: Logan doesn't open up about his personal life very easily. He grew up in a household where sharing your feelings wasn't exactly smiled upon. Instead, he keeps things bottled up, safe and sound (perhaps another reason why people seems to like him so much). Anger, heartbreak, jealousy; somehow Logan finds a way to blow off almost all of the major emotions. By internalizing them and masking them with humor, he keeps a level head and instead focuses on not focusing. Yeah, figure that one out. He's , but under extreme circumstances (and possibly with a little liquor), you might just get him to open up a little. Of course, he'll regret it later. Which is why he keeps things to himself. It's just safer that way. So good luck getting him to talk about himself. In his mind, his problems are his problems, and no one else's. He doesn't trust very easily, so while he may have a few people he considers close friends, don't expect to be his best friend overnight...
-- LOVES: Sarcasm, being outdoors, soft shell crab, playing guitar, basketball, cold beer, running, cycling, a good debate, practical jokes, animals, and horseback riding.
-- HATES: Crowds, stuck-up's, judgmental people, opening up, surprises, his job, large bodies of water, liquorish, gossip, overly competitive people, and tennis.
-- HISTORY
Born and raised right here in Pinewood WV, Logan grew up in a pretty normal household. His father was a workaholic, his mother was a typical over-bearing, stay-at home, mom with good intentions and a decent sense of humor. Logan was raised to be a gentleman, but as you can image, with two older brothers, he was constantly picked on. By the time Logan reached middle school, he had mastered the art of practical jokes and always had something up his sleeve to get back at his older brothers. As they got older, the pranks stopped, and so did the bullying. A mutual respect formed between the brothers, much to their mother's relief, and soon the boys were going off to highschool.
But Logan soon found that his well developed sense of humor was an easy way to get out of almost anything. Using sarcasm and subtle manipulation, Logan coasted his way through highschool with flying colors. When he was seventeen, he got a job working at The Bluebird Diner, cleaning tables, taking orders, flipping burgers, basically anything they needed him to do. Big in the western show circuit, the owner of the diner was the one who got him into horses. Sometimes he would pay Logan to leave during break to feed the horses he kept at Pinewood Stables. Soon, Logan began asking for riding lessons in exchange for paychecks. Instead, the owner offered to teach Logan to ride on the one condition that he would exercise his horses twice a week. And that's how his infatuation with horses began.
When he graduated highschool, his father pressured him into going to college to get his business degree. Logan reluctantly went to the closest college with every intention to put his four years in and get the hell out of there. His college years weren't exactly the best of his life, but he found a way to make it all enjoyable. With the help of his roomate, he pulled countless pranks on his classmates, somehow always finding a way to avoid the blame. He met a couple of girls, had a few flings, but nothing too serious. That is, until he met Maggie. She was beautiful, smart, witty... everything Logan looked for in a women. They started dating his sophomore year. He let her in, told her his secrets, his dreams, things he had never told anyone. And she listened. He trusted her, and everything was looking up. But just a couple months before graduation, he found out from a friend that she had been cheating on him with his roomate for months. He was crushed, but determined not to let it effect him. After all, it was his fault he had trusted her so much.
Without a thought, Logan broke it off, requested to move dorms, and half-heartedly finished up the rest of the year. After graduation he came back to Pinewood and took the first job he could find, much to his father's disapproval. A bar-tending position and Ro's Bar and Grill. It was simple, good pay, not a lot of work, and filled with drunk idiots he could mess with. Just what Logan was looking for. After working there a couple of years, his boss started giving him more and more responsibility. Logan was smart, he was cunning, and he was good with people. He soon worked his way up the ranks and was awarded with title of assistant manager, which basically meant just keeping an eye on things when the mananger wanted a personal day. But Logan didn't mind. He saved up enough money, got himself a cheap apartment, and started riding at the stables again.
That's pretty much where Logan is today. Working day to day, paycheck to paycheck, just coasting by and trying to figure out what he wants in life...
