Chase had finished cooling out his horse and he had noticed the concert hall. This place had a different vibe to it that Chase wasn't used to. The door was unlocked but there was no one inside and the lights were out. Chase quickly found the light switch and noticed up on stage, a set of drums, a keyboard, a mic stand and a few amps. Chase looked right and left not seeing anyone. He shrugged and walked up onto the stage.
Chase immediately went to the drum set seeing that they were Pearl drums. Chase had taken drum lessons when he was living with his foster parents. He had soon become a good player. Chase sat down and started to fool around on their drums. After a few moments, he melted into Enter Sandman by Metallica. That was the last song he learned before coming to Pinewood and he felt pretty good about knowing that song.
Chase finished playing that song. He sat back away from the drum kit and studied his surroundings. The walls were a red with black accents. The floors were carpeted and covered with table and chairs. It looked as if someone was playing tonight but they weren’t there yet. Chase shrugged. He could care less if they showed up right then and he was playing without permission on the Pearl drums.
Chase let his mind wander for a moment. He went back to earlier today when Hayden had disrupted his practice. She bugged the shit out of him and it bugged him even more when she seemed unaware of his anger. She was one person who Chase was going to stay away from. He thought that it would better for him if he wanted to stay here to stay away from her because of the anger she makes him feel.
Chase heard a floorboard squeak. Someone or thing was in here. Chase smirked. He wasn’t fazed by whatever was in here. The worst thing they could do was kick him out. Chase settled back into playing the drums and he completely blocked out his surroundings. All that was there in his mind was the drums and he.

As usual, Natalia was hopelessly lost. She had come to the concert hall in hopes of seeing a band or something and meeting some new friends in the town. She had taken a wrong turn looking for the bathrooms and had ended up lost back stage.
She heard the sounds of drums and noticed that a light in the auditorium. Natalia vaguely recognized the beat of the song being played, but couldn't remember the name of the song. She continued making her way through the dark backstage towards the light, weaving between speakers, lights, and the occasional instrument. The drums stopped and so did Natalia, wondering if whoever was playing the drums had left, leaving her no way of knowing where to go to get out. As she walked, the heel of one of her Adidas sneakers had hit a loose floor board, causing it to squeak slightly. She made a face to herself and kept walking as the drums began playing again. She finally remembered the name of the song as she found the door to the stage. But she didn't enter the room yet, she listened to the song, it was Enter Sandman by Metallica. She had learned the chords and melody line on the piano ages ago when her father asked her to play it when she still took piano lessons. She had grown bored of playing the songs in the lesson books and began playing her own compositions and figuring out songs by ear. This had caused her piano teacher to become frustrated and promptly asked her to stop taking lessons unless she wanted to play "by the rules." Not believing that there were rules when it came to learning and playing music, Natalia had no desire to continue taking lessons from anybody. She still played the piano some, but mainly focused on art. She was in art school after all.
Natalia decided what she was going to do. She knew the song after all. She still had no clue who was at the drum set playing by the time she finally pushed the door open. Cautiously, she took a seat at the electric keyboard on the stage, picking up where the drum player was in the song and started playing along. She wasn't sure if the drummer guy even wanted her to be there, let alone playing along, but she had always been a risk taker her whole life. And this was just one of those risks. It was a while before Chase noticed that he was not alone anymore. He refused to look over at her until the song was over. Chase kept my eyes in front of him not wanting to see who joined him. He changed his tempo and started to do some random drumming he picked up along his musical journey. He heard the keyboard fade out and all he was hearing was the sound of pounding drums.
He finished with a clang of the cymbals and he clasped his sticks together and turned to face the mysterious keyboard player. Chase couldn’t help when his jaw dropped. She was nothing like he expected. She had golden blond hair, brown eyes and was about Chase’s height. He raised his eyebrows. She wasn’t the person he was expecting to see but he was quite happy about it. Chase sauntered over to where she was and pulled up a stool and sat on the other side of the keyboard. “I’m Chase.” He said smirking out of habit.
After a few moments Chase shrugged and got up. He walked back over to the drum set and pocketed the sticks. Even though they weren’t his, they were good quality drum sticks and he wanted them. Chase turned to face this girl and winked at her. “Catch ya ‘round. Or if you want I don’t have to leave.” Chase said. Chase wanted this girl and he wanted her now.
Whenever Chase wanted a girl, he did everything in order to get her. And he never was a guy for one night stands; he kept them around until he liked someone else or until the things they did got boring. As Chase was waiting for this girl to answer him, he slowly ran his eyes up and down her body clearly checking her out.

Natalia stopped playing and just listened to the drums for a little bit. She turned as the drums stopped and finally got a good look at the drummer. He had brown hair and dark eyes, and was definitely good looking. The boy's angular jaw dropped slightly as he looked at her and he walked over, sitting by Natalia and introducing himself as Chase. Natalia was about to introduce herself, but he had stood up and was walking away.
As Chase walked back over to the drum set and put the drum sticks into his pocket, Natalia's heart flipped. She liked his straight forward attitude, she usually wanted guys like him. And boy, did she want him. He turned back to face her and said, "Catch ya ‘round. Or if you want I don’t have to leave," with a wink. Natalia smirked as he clearly started checking her out and she stood up.
"Wait, and what if I don't want you to leave just yet?" she asked rhetorically with a sly smile as she walked over to the drum set, dragging a stool with her. She jumped gracefully up onto the stool and sat down on it, crossing her long legs. She tapped one of the cymbals lightly with her finger, creating a soft ringing noise that filled the area around them. Natalia had never tried playing a drum set before, she had never had the chance. She looked back at Chase, giving him a sultry look as she said, "I'm Natalia." She was going crazy with every moment that passed that she wasn't all over him, that's just how she was. "So, how long have you been playing the drums?" she asked him now as she pulled her long, blonde hair over one shoulder so it hung on one side in front of her. She pulled a cigarette out of her bag and a lighter saying, "I hope you don't mind."

"Wait, and what if I don't want you to leave just yet?" Chase grinned. That was exactly what he wanted to hear. She moved from the keyboard over to the drums and crossed her legs. She tapped the cymbal with her finger and it made a soft ringing noise. Chase had sauntered over to the drum kit and handed over the sticks. " Have you ever played before?" Chase questioned. She didn't answer him only giving him a sultry look while saying, "I'm Natalia." Chase smiled. This girl looked as if she was trying everything not to get on top of him right then. That just encouraged Chase to this girl.
"So, how long have you been playing the drums?" She asked him after a few minutes. Chase shrugged. "A few years maybe. Only since I moved in with my foster parents. And that wasn't very long ago. How about you? How long have you played the keyboard?" Chase asked trying to get a bit of info on this girl. She pulled her hair back over one shoulder and it hung on the one side in front of her. She bent down and pulled a cigarette out of her bag and a lighter and told Chase that she hoped he wouldn't mind if she smoked. Chase shrugged.
Chase could care less about if she smoked. He didn't himself because he had a bad experience with it. It was when he was living on the streets and he lived off of cigarettes. He became so addicted to them, he wouldn't spend money on food, he would just buy cigarettes. It was a pretty bad time for him. It wasn't until Macey found him that he realized how bad he was. Now Chase could care less for cigarettes. He turned his attention back to Natalia. "I'm going to teach you how to play the drums." He said. Not a question but a statement. He walked around the drums and sat behind her on the same stool pressed up against her. He wrapped his hand around hers which were on the sticks and started to play a basic melody.

Chase answered that he had played drums or a few years and asked, "What about you? How long have you played the keyboard?" Natalia never lit the cigarette, she tossed it and the lighter back into her bag. There was something about Chase that made her want to be on her best behavior, whatever that was, but it didn't include smoking. Natalia's art school friends all smoked, and it was just something you were expected to do. She had never really liked it to be honest, plus she was a poor college kid who normally lived off of the one dollar cup of noodles from the on campus drug store and couldn't really afford to buy cigarettes. She'd have to get used to being poor, being an artist wasn't usually associated with penthouses and yachts, but Natalia had never had those things anyway. She liked architecture, maybe she could switch to that.
Natalia shrugged and replied, "I haven't actually played in a while, I used to take piano lessons when I was younger, but I stopped in order to take art classes. I mostly play by ear when I play now, without music."
"I'm going to teach you how to play the drums," Chase said suddenly. He walked around the drum set and sat behind her. They were very close now and he held her hands in his and moved them around the different drums to play a simple beat. He was pressed up against her back as they sat on the same stool. Natalia turned her head slightly to look at Chase and then looked back at the drums where his hands moved hers across the drums in perfect rhythm. She was glad he couldn't see her face at that moment, because she was switching from a weird-intense-focus-face to a why-are-we-so-close?-face. She smiled as she continued drumming, well he was doing all the work, but technically she was holding the sticks so she was the one drumming, right? Natalia looked back at him again and laughed, "How am I doing?"

"I haven't actually played in a while, I used to take piano lessons when I was younger, but I stopped in order to take art classes. I mostly play by ear when I play now, without music." Natalia replied to Chase's question. As Chase sat behind Natalia, she turned her head the slightest bit so she could look at Chase's face. He smirked. "Can't keep your eyes off me, can you?" He said only half teasing. He was pleased that she kept trying to look at him. That was always a good sign. Chase let himself lose focus on what he was doing and just let his mind wander.
Natalia was the second person here to talk to him. But she was the first to talk to him with interest and not rudely. He was somewhat grateful for that because no one likes to be talked to rudely. Back to the present-Chase was well aware of their closeness and it didn't bother him at all. In fact he actually liked it. It's the closest he has been to a girl in a long time. He moved in closer so he could reach the cymbals. But that wasn't the only reason...
Natalia looked back at him again and then she let out a laugh and said, "How am I doing?" Chase hmmed for a few minutes before saying, " Pretty good. In fact I think you are so good that you need a break. Cuz you know even the professionals need to take breaks and most of them never have an irresistible guy like me sitting pressed up against them." Chase said with a sly smile. Chase didn't know if Natalia knew what he wanted her to do but he knew she would get the message soon enough. He took his hands still around hers and the stricks and wrapped them around her torso. He then rested his head on her right shoulder and sighed. Chase could get used to living like this. No foster parents telling him what to do and what not to do, and no foster sister wanting to know every single second of his life. It would be a miracle if Chase could get away from his problems even for a minute.

tell my love to wreck it allcut out all the ropes and let me fall After a while, Chase scooted closer against her and hit the cymbal. Natalia turned her attention and head back to the drum set in front of her. He answered her question, "Pretty good. In fact I think you are so good that you need a break. Cuz you know even the professionals need to take breaks and most of them never have an irresistible guy like me sitting pressed up against them."
He smiled slyly at her and Natalia felt her face grow warm as a blush crept into her cheeks, something that never happened to her. She quickly covered it up with a response. "I guess I'm just a natural when it comes to playing the drums. Oh, and by the way, you are so charming Mr. Full-of-Himself," Natalia said sarcastically with a playful eye roll. Ironically, Chase actually was charming, Natalia just didn't know whether or not that was a good thing or a bad thing. She'd met plenty of charming guys who turned out to be anything but. He wrapped both her arms and his arms around her waist. He rested his head on her shoulder and let out a small sigh.
Natalia panicked a little, she wasn't used to this. Most guys played her and then threw her away when they were done. She was so used to being dumped after one night, that it was normal for her to wake up to an empty bed and weird when someone actually stayed through the night, even if it was just because they were drunk. She was used to being treated like crap, so much that she couldn't even remember what it was like to be treated kindly with respect. It had been a while since anyone had bothered to actually get to know her and no one had even made an effort to get to know her until Chase. She leaned against him and tilted her head towards his hoping he got the hint.

"I guess I'm just a natural when it comes to playing the drums. Oh, and by the way, you are so charming Mr. Full-of-Himself," Natalia said sarcastically with a playful eye roll. Chase smirked. "Don't you go calling me Mr. Full-of-Himself. It's not nice. You have only known me for about 25 minutes. Don't judge." He said only half serious. Natalia tensed up almost like she was panicking because he was treating like any normal guy would treat a girl. Chase let it go after a few minutes when he felt her relax. She leaned against him and tilted her head towards Chase probably wanting him to kiss her.
Chase wasted no time and moved his head about 2 1/2 inches to meet her. He pressed his lips against hers quietly at first then the longer the kisses got; the more demanding he got. He twisted her around so she was facing him and he wrapped her legs around his waist and pulled her up so that she was sitting on his lap straddling him. He moved his hands to up in her hair then ran them up and down her back. He pushed away from her for a few seconds to catch his breath. "I'm.. Sorry.. If... That... Was... Too forwards of me. I should of behaved myself better." He apologized. But he really wasn't sorry. He never regrets anything he does, that was just the way Chase was.
Chase started to wriggle himself out of Natalia's legs that he had wound around himself. He got up and started pacing around the drums. He was hoping that Natalia would be ok with him kissing her. He wanted Natalia to come to him this time so they weren't sitting awkwardly on the drum stool. There was always the tables to lay on or the ground could work...

tell my love to wreck it allcut out all the ropes and let me fall As they kissed, Chase spun her around so they were facing each other. Natalia's legs wrapped around Chase's waist and her hands alternated from being in his hair to on his chest to her arms around his neck. Silence filled the air in the concert hall around them, it was almost... peaceful. Natalia wasn't sure how long things went on exactly, but after a while, Chase pulled his lips away from hers suddenly.
"I'm.. Sorry.. If... That... Was... Too forwards of me. I should of behaved myself better," he said breathlessly. Natalia smiled at him, but he stood up, leaving her alone on the stool. She watched him pace back and forth around the drum set. Natalia knew she was the one who needed to make the next move to continue things.
She pulled an old receipt out of her purse and quickly scribbled down her name and phone name in neat letters. She stood up and walked over to where Chase stood. "There's no need for good behavior here," she smirked and continued, "but as fun as that was, I have to leave for class now. Here's my number if you're ever looking for something to do or someone to hang out with," she said and placed the paper in his hand. She stole the line he had first said to her, "Or if you want, I don't have to go." She had a simple pottery class in twenty minutes that was incredibly boring and she wouldn't mind missing it this week, she had finished the assignment anyway. The class was open to members of the community around the college and Natalia wasn't in the mood to listen to teenagers complain to her about their boyfriends and old people complain to her about their colonoscopy. She shuddered slightly at the thought, but it could have just been because it was cold in the concert hall.

Natalia responded in the total opposite of what Chase actually wanted her to do. Chase watched as she pulled an old receipt out of her purse and quickly scribbled down her name and phone name in what looked like neat letters. She stood up and walked over to where Chase stood. After when Chase apologized for behaving badly which he wasn't sorry for she responded with, "There's no need for good behavior here," Natalia smirked and continued, "but as fun as that was, I have to leave for class now. Here's my number if you're ever looking for something to do or someone to hang out with," she said and placed the paper in his hand. He regarded that simple piece of paper for only a moment before she said, "Or if you want, I don't have to go." Chase smiled. She had taken that line from when Chase first said it. Natalia looked as if she was deep in thought and Chase decided he would let her have her moment of silence before he replied to what she said. Chase thought about his horse. He had gotten him as a gift when he was still screwed up and Red had really helped him get better. Red had show some talent in Six Bar Jumping and Chase had trained Red and himself to excel in the Six bar. He enjoyed it and so did his horse which was why they always looked like pros. Chase was jolted out of his mind when Natalia shuddered slightly probably because there was a chill in the hall. Without hesitating Chase said " I would really like it if you stayed here. And now get over here and stop wasting time." Chase said spreading his arms out as if he was going to give her a big bear hug.

tell my love to wreck it allcut out all the ropes and let me fall As they stood there, Natalia waited for Chase to speak. Finally he said, "I would really like it if you stayed here. And now get over here and stop wasting time." He spread his arms out wide like he was going to hug her. Chase looked like he knew that Natalia would go into his arms, almost like he expected she would. She wasn't going to give in that easily, she would much rather keep him waiting and wishing of what could happen later. But that doesn't mean it was going to happen.
"I'll tell you what, I might have a proposition for you," Natalia said, "I'll skip my art class, if you come with me on a date. A real date, not just... this. No pressure, we can just go as friends if that's what you want." She gestured to the stool behind the drum set where they had made out minutes ago. She smiled at him, wondering if he would agree to the date. It didn't even have to be a real date, they could just go somewhere and hang out or talk. They could go to the park, or the pub, or even the dance club. Natalia didn't really care, she just wanted to be with Chase, and more importantly, she just didn't want to be alone. She knew that there were a ton of parties at the fraternities and sororities, but she didn't feel like going to them. She wanted to have a quiet night, those were rare at the sorority, there was always some party somewhere.
She went back to the keyboard bench where she had left her bag. She picked it up and slung it lazily over her shoulder. She then went back over to Chase. "What do you say? Are you coming?" she asked him.

He thought that would be a good idea because maybe Natalia wanted to go longer than just this one day with Chase and Chase would like to go loner than a one day relationship with anyone. Natalia walked over to the keyboard and grabbed her bag. She slung it over her shoulder and casually walked back over to where Chase was. She then said "What do you say? Are you coming?" Chase decided to play hard to get. "I don't know. I might be free, or I might not be. I will have to check my clendar." He said pulling out his phone. He knew he was free and that he would say yes to her but he wanted to shake it up a little bit. He pretended to check his calendar for a few minutes.
"I'm free for now.And I would prefer if we went as more then friends. But that is just me." Chase replied wth a sly smile. He was looking forward for what she had in store and he had no idea what would happen tonight but whatever happens he hoped it would be something good. "So, where are you taking me Oh Great One?" He asked bowing down to her. He was merely curious about their plans tonight. While waiting fo her to answer Chase let his mind wander a bit. He wondered if Natalia owned a horse or even rode. She hadn't told him anything about herself other then her name and that she had an art class today. It would be nice to find a hot girl who also rode as well. Then they could go on trail rides al by themselves and be surrounded by only nature and nothing else. Chase was then brught back to the present when Natalia started to talk.

tell my love to wreck it allcut out all the ropes and let me fall He pulled out his phone and took a few minutes to check on his calendar if he was free. "I'm free for now.And I would prefer if we went as more then friends. But that is just me," he said. After learning that Chase was free and willing to go out with her tonight, Natalia got excited. She hadn't gone on a real date in ages. "So, where are you taking me Oh Great One?" Chase asked and bowed. Natalia couldn't help but laugh at his behavior. He looked deep in thought and Natalia didn't want to disturb whatever he was thinking about. She thought back to what he had said earlier about going out as more than friends.
Natalia didn't really know any of the local hang out spots. She had heard about them, but didn't know what they were like. She knee the barn. She had been there many times since she had arrived in town. She thought of Sparky, her beloved Appaloosa gelding that she had bought herself with her hard earned money a year ago. He had been a rescue, not because he was abused, but because his owner died. Nobody knew, so Sparky was kept alone in his stall with no food and very little water for three days before he was rescued. He wasn't too expensive at the time, but it had been a lot of work to get him to not only trust her, but to let her ride him. But she had done it. And Sparky and her had a tight bond that no one could seem to replicate with him, no matter how hard they tried. She snapped out of her thoughts and turned her attention back to Chase.
"Well, seeing as I'm new here and the only two places that I know about are here and the barn, surprise me," she replied and jumped down off the stage to start walking for the door. "Well, don't just stand there," she continued and turned around to look at Chase again, "rock my world, drummer boy."

Leaving was easy. It was everything else that was so damned hard. "Well, seeing as I'm new here and the only two places that I know about are here and the barn, surprise me," Natalia said after awhile. Chase thought about where he could take her. After a few moments she said "Well, don't just stand there, rock my world, drummer boy." Chase smiled and lunged at Natalia. He picked her up and slung her over his shoulder. He spun her around and said “Do you really want me to rock your world Keyboard girl?” He laughed getting a kick out of spinning her. After a few more circles he set her down but kept her pressed up against him. He brushed his thumb along her jaw line while keeping his other hand along her back holding her against him. He leaned in and let his lips meet hers. He gently parted his lips. After a few more moments of kissing, he pulled away and went back into serious mode. There were a lot of places Chase and Natalia could go. It all depended if she wanted to go out to like a bar or if she wanted to go somewhere quieter. Chase hadn’t been here any longer than Natalia had been and the only places he had been were the stables, his house and this hall they were in now. Chase knew nothing around campus that they could go to. If he was going to choose he would probably go to dance club or his house. He didn’t know if Natalia would be comfortable in his house, he wondered if that would make her feel pressured into anything she didn’t want to do. But he was willing to take the risk. “Do you want to go out for the night? Or spend it alone? If you want we could go to my house. You choose.” Chase kind of wanted to stay in tonight, and he hoped Natalia would be okay with that. ::Words:: 321 ::Tags:: Natalia ::Credit:: AddiGrey@JADRidingAcademy
