Personality Description: Farah, the mother, is one of the sweetest horses Sebastian has ever owned. She has alot of go, as most thoroughbred do, but she is very safe. Sebastian uses her as a broodmare, and for his lessons. Farah is a great mother and influences her babies personalitys greatly, while still pasing on great conformation and movement. Farah is a great jumper and has scope to spare. She loves cross country, but needs a more experienced rider on the field, because she gets so excited.
Desi is a stunning filly. She's one of the most beautiful, correct fillies Sebastian has ever seen. Desi is a very big girl, she's already almost as tall as her mother as a yearling, and is expected to mature over 17 hh! She is a very cheeky little lady and has quite the personality. From her antics now, Sebastian knows she will be quite a handful when she is started under saddle. Desi has so much potential, she looks almost identical to her father when he was her age. Sebastian and everyone else at Pinewood is just enjoying watching her grow into herself and mature into a fantastic little mare.
History:
Farah was born in Kentucky, bred to be a racehorse. She didn't make it very far before they decided that racing wasn't her calling. Sebastian picked her up on his travels and trained her to be a jumping horse at 4 years old. He competed her in his teenage years and she was a great horse for him to learn on. Now Farah is ridden by students and leasers when she isn't being bred. Farah has had three babies for Sebastian, a colt, by Thoroughbred stallion Northern Dancer, whom Sebastian sold as a racehorse. And two fillies by Maxie, of whom Sebastian kept the youngest (Desi) and sold the other.
Desi, being less than a year old, doesn't have much of a history. Her birth was uncomplicated, and she lived a fantastic life, with her mother and the other broodmares and foals out in the fields in Pinewood. Desi is now handled daily by Sebastian and is taking to groundwork training quite well. Desi does have an attitude which can make some parts of training painful, but all in all shes a good girl.
Discipline: Jumping/Eventing, and Unstarted.
