As well as her blue eyes stand out.
With the combination of her pearly whites, bright blue sapphires, petite stature, and flowing hair, Marissa is quite different from the typical barbie doll. OVERALL PERSONALITY: After moving to West Virginia, Marissa's outlook on life changed dramatically. She's no longer that rude and manipulative teenager she used to be. She changed into a sweet and caring person. Rissa is almost always laughing or smiling. It's hard for her not to find the better things in life now.
One thing she'll always be is headstrong. Nobody has been known to change her outlook or the way she is without her wanting to do so and doing it for herself. It's one trait she couldn't live without, it's what she's known for. Besides that Marissa is a geniune, sweet, southern belle with a Tennesse accent. She's confident in who she is and how she became this way.
Wrapped up in a package she is different from anyone you will ever meet. She's smart, sweet, funny, caring, yet brutally honest. Most people take it the wrong way when she speaks her mind but if you ask her she would rather tell it how it is and what she thinks other than lie to someone. Aside from her occasional outbursts of brutal honesty, most people love her to death.

OTHER FAMILY: n/a
PETS: Prince.
OVERALL HISTORY: Marissa grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her brother, sister, and mother. Her father wasn't in the picture for a while. Family problems had always been an issue for the Diamond's. Ryan had a cocaine problem. And a heroine problem... and a cheating problem... and an abusive problem. The whole family had to endure his crazed antics every single day. Each of the children and their mother were both verbally and physically abused until one day Kimberly decided she had enough and reported him to the police. Marissa was 5 years old when she saw her dad be taken away in handcuffs and not to return until she was 17. In those 12 years he was gone, the whole family tried to forget about it but nobody could.
Marissa started getting into the wrong crowd at 13. She started doing drugs at 14, nothing worse than marijuana and ecstasy, but it was enough to change her whole personality. Rissa went into a deep depression and started cutting herself and suffered from anorexia. Her disorders put her into the hospital three times before Kimberly decided to take action. At the age of 16 they moved to Nashville and started over. Even though the move made Marissa realize she needed to be sober, she still couldn't get passed her depression and attempted suicide putting her in a hospital and rehab center for six months.
The day she turned 17 was the day she was released, and not a week later her father was released from jail. She was scared to see how everything turned out. She had been through a lot and didn't want to go back to the way she was, she was finally happy... And sober... Two things she couldn't remember what felt like since she was 14 years old. Three years of hell could easily come back with her father returning.
Ryan came back a changed man. A loving, caring, responsible, and successful man. Something a father should always be. They finally had a family, a home full of love. Jamie moved out when she was 18 and went to West Virginia to study and get her nursing degree. She made it seem like a wonderful place and encouraged Marissa to move there with her when she turned 18. After much though about it Marissa finally moved after finishing high school with her diploma. Now she's here in West Virginia with a new outlook on life, and loving every second of it. ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
The sun peered through Marissa's blinds. It wasn't even 8 o'clock yet but her eyelids couldn't stay closed for the life of her. She groaned and rolled over, opening just one eye to look at the clock. 8:08 it read. Rolling over she looked at the ceiling and yawned while rubbing her eyes. She sat up and swung her legs over her bed waiting for her vision and head to clear. For being Summer it was quite chilly this morning she got up and threw on a sweatshirt and some jeans.
Walking into the bathroom she could hear the coffee pot filling downstairs. She looked in the mirror and sighed. Her stomach growled so she figured she could finish her morning look routine after she ate. After Rissa got downstairs and made her way into the kitchen she saw her brother-in-law, David, making some breakfast. He smiled when he turned around to see her. Smiling back she sat down at the bar and picked up a glass of orange juice he always pours for her in the morning, taking a sip.
"Good morning sunshine. You look bright eyed and bushy-tailed this morning." David always said that, but it never got old. "Hello early bird." Marissa said smiling. It was a morning ritual to greet each other this way. It never made sense to anyone why David woke up so early when he always had the nightshift at the police station. He comes home from work at around 5, reads the paper, showers, makes breakfast, does some work around the house, and usually falls asleep around 5 after dinner only to get up at 9 to get ready for work. How he lived off six hours asleep? Guess he just does.
"Did Jamie already leave for work?" Marissa asked. David nodded and put an egg, some hashbrowns, and a piece of toast on a plate and slid it over to her. "Thank ya sir." She said and picked up a fork to dig in. David was like her second father. They got along great and he always looked out for her. It was nice that Jamie was able to get quite the catch. She never did date in high school and the first time she dated she got lucky with him. Rissa finished up eating and washed her dishes. Then she went upstairs to get ready to go to the stables. "Today is going to be a good day." She thought as she smiled.
