TREVOR'S BEEN OUT NOW FOR 7 DAYS
FUNNY HOW HE THOUGHT THE PRICE HAD BEEN PAID
[/ul]
ON A PAST HE HATES TO TALK ABOUT
IT'S EVERYTHING WRONG ABOUT HIM
NICKNAMES: Trevor
AGE: 20
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: heterosexual
OCCUPATION: Jockey
CANON OR ORIGINAL: original
[/ul]
HE GOES HOME TO A BATTLEFIELD
AND STARTS TO DRINK AS SOME KIND OF A SHIELD
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5'4" 125
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Everyone expected Trevor to be tall, his dad was 6'4", his older brother was 6', and even his little brother was 6'2" but Trevor was "cursed" with the short gene from his mom's side. At first he grew fast just like his brothers, but around 8th grade he simply maxed out at 5'4" making him the shortest male in his family by far. Although he's not the tallest guy in the whole world, he definitely makes up for it in his physical fitness level. Though not the most athletic guy in the world, his career choice has made him quite strong. He's no body-builder, but he's got his fair share of strength.
He has dark brown, almost black hair, and contrasting pale blue eyes. From all the work he does outdoors in his job, he is quite tan throughout the year. Don't let it fool you, that pale winter sun in West Virginia reflecting off the snow will burn you easily if you don't take precautions. Trevor's typical style consists of jeans and a t-shirt, but on important occasions he can be found looking quite sharp in a suit and tie. His hairstyle is... definitely natural, and he rarely puts more work into it than running his fingers through it to get it out of his face after a shower... but again, on important occasions he cleans up nicely and gets it all under control.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: height, or lack thereof
[/ul]
FOR THE ANGER INSTILLED IN HIM
AND THEIR LOOKS ARE KILLING HIM NOW
DISLIKES: loud music, comments on his height, fighting
STRENGTHS: balance, handling high strung horses in high stress situations
WEAKNESSES: alcohol, women
HABITS/QUIRKS: always has to be doing something with his hands
OVERALL PERSONALITY: When it comes to work, Trevor is all business. He takes his job very seriously, and he has to. He understands the opportunity given to him by being one of Pinewood's jockeys and is very careful to not take it for granted. Of course, the concentration it takes to be around horses as high strung as racers is pretty in depth and if he is ever not on the top of his game and he knows it, he'll bring it up to the trainer and not ride that day. It's too dangerous and he is well aware, and willing to give up that day's pay in order to protect his own life.
When he's not on the job though, he tends to be a little... well, not so serious. Not saying he's a "joker" or anything he just rolls with what happens as if nothing is a big deal at all. He can usually be found at the bar or club on Friday and Saturday nights with some sort of alcohol in hand, but if he has to work in the morning he won't drink that night... unless he's just had a god-awful day and needs to drown himself in alcohol to forget about it. He's also a bit of a player and hasn't had many serious relationships, but don't take it the wrong way, if he were to find the right girl he'd settle right down and stick with her. He's not the cheating kind.
He gets along well with most other people and is good with kids since he has a little brother who is 9 years younger than him. It is always wise to not bring up his lack of height in a demeaning way for any purpose as he will hold it against you for the rest of your life. Like all jockeys, he is considered by many to not be totally sane, and it is entirely possible that he isn't. He's addicted to adrenaline and caffeine and usually gets a migraine if he doesn't get enough of both in a day. His dog is his constant companion and he is rarely seen without the animal close by, and the town is small enough that they don't mind him bringing the dog with him everywhere.

HE'S ASKING A QUESTION HOW WILL I BE
WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO THE END AND MEMORIES STILL HAUNT ME
SIBLINGS: Russel, 21, in college, James, 25, contractor, & Marcus, 10, student
OTHER FAMILY: n/a
PETS: Vik
OVERALL HISTORY: Being born into a family like the one Trevor was born into was definitely not easy. Everyone in his family was athletic. His two older brothers were 6' and up, and his dad was 6'4". Of course, this meant they were athletes. Russel was the basketball star, reliving their dad's "glory days" when he had been a basketball MVP three years in a row. James was the football guy... starting quarterback, of course. Even Marcus who was 9 years younger than Trevor was the goal keeper on his elementary school soccer team. Everyone expected Trevor to be good at something like that, but when he simply stopped growing at 5'4" they basically gave up all hope on him carrying out the family legacy of sports stars.
When he was 13 they went to the races for the first time, and that was when Trevor decided that he would prove them wrong, he would be an athlete, and he wouldn't have to spend $60,000 on a college education to do it. When he first brought it up to his parents they just laughed, figuring he would grow out of it, but two years later he was still pressing them about it, and when he got his own job he started paying for and working off riding lessons, doing his best to get a handle on this riding thing quickly so he could carry out his dream. At 16 he started working at a racing stable and the riding lessons stopped, but about six months into the job, the trainer decided to ask the kid who put more effort into picking stalls than anyone else he'd ever hired if why he was doing this job. Of course Trevor told him, and as if this was the sort of thing he did every day, the trainer told him he could stop cleaning stalls and start exercise riding some of the horses for him.
Getting up at 4:30 in the morning was no easy thing at first, but he was determined, despite his family thinking he was insane. After two years of exercise riding he started training to take his jockey's test and three months after turning 18 he passed it and donned the purple and white racing silks of Pinewood Stables for the first time. For the first year he only rode in claiming races and smaller races like that, but the more he won the more he was considered for the higher paying races, and when the old trainer retired, and the main jockey became the trainer, that left only Trevor to do the racing, and he sure as hell had big shoes to fill. Anthony had a huge reputation in the racing world as one of the greatest, and now he was training. It wouldn't be easy, but he was going to do his best.
About six months into his new found position he was in a Grade III race, and the horse he was along side of blew the turn, successfully taking out Trevor and his horse. Not being the most athletic horse in the world, and despite Trevor's best efforts to help him catch himself before falling, the horse went down to his knees, hit the dirt and rolled over top of him. Somehow or another though, he managed to walk away with only a slight concussion, a fractured arm, and an ugly but not lethal gash in his side where the horse's hoof had caught him. A week off, an arm brace, and 12 stitches later, he was back in the saddle again. He knew all too well the standard Anthony had set when he was a jockey of riding with more injuries than most people could walk with, and he was determined to live up to that standard.
