Owner Name: Charlie Parker
Owner Age: 22
Owner Occupation: Policeman
Other Horses? Brigadier's Image
---------------------------------------------------------
Registered name: Major General
Barn Name: Major
Breed: thoroughbred x cleveland bay
Color: bay
Age: 12
Gender: gelding
Height: 16hh
Personality Description: Major is your typical police horse. He is completely bomb-proof and wouldn't hurt anyone if he could help it. He can often be a bit nippy towards other horses and has been known to do his best to be the boss and is best kept either on his own or with other horses who don't mind being bossed around. Anyone can ride him and handle him, but he doesn't like the vet and tends to act out when he comes calling. He is perfect for the farrier and tends to doze off while getting his feet taken care of. Charlie's kids are his favorite people in the world and he's always taking care of them.
History: Major has been on the police force since 2007 and is a very handsome horse. He started out on a dressage barn, and has been to several dressage shows but never placed. After a while it was discovered that he had a huge jump and was soon after sold to a jumper barn where he spent the next two years being ridden by young riders looking to develop their skills on an easy going horse. He was leased for a while to students before eventually being sold to a rider who was interested in cross-country. He excelled on the cross-country course, but when it came to dressage he simply didn't measure up to the expectations. She continued riding him for about a year until he was injured and wouldn't be able to jump anymore.
When he was 9 he was sold again, this time to a kid who just wanted a horse, and when she lost interest horses, he spent a year at pasture until her parents got tired of paying for him and sent him to auction where he was picked up by a police horse trainer. After a year of training he was put on active duty where he quickly became a favorite among the officer's who got to ride him. His first three months were spent on the streets of NYC before the hard roads started taking a toll on his old injury and he was plagued by lameness. They decided to move him to the country where there was softer ground in the patrol areas and he would have an easier time of it that way. That was how he came to Pinewood.
