The King's ResidenceIf you continue down the drive, past the turn off to the stable, you will come upon a beautiful home, occupied by Pinewood's owners, Sebastian and Cheyenne Kings, and their son, Caiden. The house has an elegant southern style design and the exterior is pale yellow with white trim. The interior is equally elegant. The house is located not far from the beach of the large lake with a private dock. Remember, this part of Pinewood Stables is private, so make sure to ask Sebastian or Chey before going down to the dock. |

TrailsThere are two different options for your trail riding pleasure. The first is located on the west side of the stable yard, called the Pinewood Trail. This is a beautiful historic path that runs through Pinewood forest. On it you will pass Bentfield brook, the old cemetery (but I wouldn't stay long there), and the lake. Not to mention the breathtaking West Virginia scenery. |

Practice RingsThese nice dirt rings are easily accessible from the stable hall, located just outside and to the right. You can come here to practice a few courses or simply warm-up your horse. Both English and Western Rings are available to our boarders 24/7 for whatever purpose they choose. |

Lesson RingsThese two large rings are located just to the left of the Practice Rings and just as easily accessible from the Stable Hall. Western and English lessons are held in separate rings, taught by our Riding Instructors. If you would like to schedule a lesson, be sure to sign up for it at the Front Desk. |

Round PensHardly anyone uses them any more, since most horses get along fine in the pasture... but these Round-pens are great if you want to keep your horse solitude for a while (or if they don't get along with other equines). In fact they are just calling your name! Any extra money found in the Pinewood budget is currently going towards an indoor riding ring, so we'd sure applicate if you'd fix these old pens up for us. Yes, they are certainly safe enough for turn out, but also not particularly a sight to behold... So it's all up to you. |

The RacetrackWhen your riding on our trails you might notice a few things. Yes, the view, the lake, the mountains... but look closer. A large one mile arena. What is this? Why, this is none other than Pinewood’s practice Racetrack. Horse racing is never held here, but it’s used by a few people for training. This can sure settle whose horse is faster... But be sure to cool down your horse after a run; and never push him past his limits. |

The PasturesWith 20 acres of rolling hills, shade, and even a small creek, you can turn you faithful equine companion out here to graze and relax after a long day's work. Boarders, feel free to lead your horses out here for a nice, long and relaxing ride in the open pastures. Our staff check the water troughs every morning to make sure they are filled with fresh, clean water, and we make sure they never freeze over in the winter, so no worries. If you wish to keep your horse(s) separate from the others, you may also put them in the Mare and Foal Pasture. |
