Come here to stake your fair claims. As most of you know, this board is very important. Without it people would complain, fights would start, mass chaos would erupt, riots would overtake the streets, and a hole would burn right through the atmosphere! Well, maybe not, but we can't take any chances now can we? Remember: if it's already claimed, move on and don't complain; this is a fair game.
Ahh, plots. Where would we be without them? Everyone needs a healthy dose of drama every once in a while, so here are a few different sub-boards where you can decide your character's fiends, rivals, enemies, and lovers. Share your ideas, voice your requests, and plot away to your hearts content. Have fun!
If you have multiple characters, here's where you can keep track of them all. You can post their bios, plots, current relationships, ect. Pretty much a general over-view of each of your characters. Thread Trackers can also be put here. One thread per member, please.
Welcome to Pinewood Stables! A small painted sign welcomes you as you pull into the gravel parking lot. It looks innocent enough... straight ahead you'll see a door leading to the Stable Office and the front desk, where you can find all the info you need to begin boarding or riding here at Pinewood. Also ahead are the large wooden doors leading to the Stable Hall, where our resident horses reside and Groomers work daily. If they're open, you may even be able to look right down the wide isle and catch a glimpse of our Lesson Rings where our Instructors give public lessons weekly. Congratulations, you've officially begun your journey here at Pinewood Stables. Good luck!
Inside the barn you can find a vast number of stalls, the indoor arena, the tack room, and the loft where you can hang out. Each of the stalls are 14'x14' and all have an attached run outside and heated automatic waterers. The indoor arena is 100'x175' and heated for your comfort during the winter months.
Welcome to the new addition to our stables; the Breeding Facility and Foaling Block. This is where our brood mares are kept and you may request your stallion to be a stud. You may also request your own mare to be bred. Either way, please remember to read the rules and follow the forms provided.
Ah, show day. Just imagine the buzz of the riders preparing their mounts, the sound of the crackling loud speaker, the rush of mounting your horse and entering the ring, the feeling of being under the lights, the thrill of the crowd as you whip around that last barrel and race to the finish, or clear that last jump perfectly and stick the landing... you've worked all year, now go out there and prove that you're the best of the best! Are you ready? This is were the real competition begins...
North Pinewood is really the heart of the original town. In this quaint downtown area you can find one of the best eateries in town, the Bluebird Diner, the courthouse, the bank, the general store, and the ever needed vet's office and tack shop.
East Pinewood is home to the large open park where you can go for a run, have a picnic, or take your dog for a walk. It also has the Humane Society, where your next best friend is just waiting to be adopted, the Old Fashioned Soda Shoppe where you can go for a nice cool treat, and Clancy's Roller Rink for some after school fun. The highschool, the fairgrounds, and the library can also be found on this side of town.
South Pinewood is the more "upscale" part of town. Here you can find the hospital (very important for all those riders), the county jail (oh no!), the movie theater, and the town's only bar and grill. Make sure to avoid those dark alleyways at night!
West Pinewood is the less popular part of town and has slowly become the outskirts, as most of the businesses have shifted away from here. One of the few remaining businesses left here are the mall (which has only a few stores left inside), Little Italy Pizza, and The Tavern. The cemetery is also on this end of town, and as the rumors say, is haunted; which is also said to be the major cause of the businesses leaving this area.
Located on the Westside of Pinewood, these mobile homes aren't the nicest, but they're certainly not horrible. Although quite small, they're very affordable and come in a variety of different colors. The managers make sure they're kept decent looking, but don't be surprised if you get a leaky pipe or rattling air conditioner. Hey, not everyone can live in luxury, right?
Aptly named, these single story apartments located on the Southside of Pinewood offer a nice living option for a single person or young couple. Built about ten years ago, the units aren't exactly cutting edge, but they're quite spacious and all appliances are included. The prices here can run a little higher than the mobile home park, but they're certainly cheaper than buying a house. Sadly, the complex is lacking a lot of modern amenities like gyms and club houses, but there is a pool...
Although not quite as fancy as the name suggestions, this housing addition is certainly as good as you're going to get here in Pinewood. Fenced in backyards, pools, grills, patio furniture, trimmed trees; all centered around a pond and complete with a fountain. Yep, the whole nine yards. Located on the Eastside of town, these houses were all built about ten years ago and are very open and spacious. Bedrooms range from two to four and all come furnished with modern appliances.
Located directly in the middle of North Pinewood, these charming homes line Main St. and wrap through some of the back streets of Downtown. They were some of the first houses built when the town was founded and are really exactly what you would expect of a classic country townhouse. Large windows, covered porches, crown molding, painted shingles, and a variety of different colors and sizes. Good luck finding one of these homes on the market, though. It's not often someone's ready to give them up, and a lot of people have lived here their whole lives. If you do happen to stumble upon one for sale, you can bet your pants it's going to be a pretty penny if you want to call it your own...
Everyone knows that the internet is a fast and easy way to communicate with people. Come here to send an email or chat it up with some instant messaging.
In this day and age, this form of communication seems almost forgotten. But who doesn't love stumbling upon a note or finding a letter waiting for them in the mail?
No one likes anti-socialness, so here's your place to hang-out and get to know the other lovely members. Introduce yourself, gather opinions, share stories, photos, games, plot world-domination, whatever! The ever-important absent board can also be found here, so don't forget to post there if you're leaving or are going to be gone for a while.
Want to show off your site on Pinewood? Of course you do. So come post your site info for all to see. Don't forget to add the link and make sure we can post back on your site. Affiliate requests can also be made here. Remember to post in the appropriate sub-board.
This is where all the finished, abandoned, or dead threads will go to help clear up the boards. If there is a thread that you've finished, please PM an admin and we'll move it here for you. Thanks!
