HE'S DISAPPOINTED AND OFF TO BED
HAIR: Long blonde hair that is wavy, but she sometimes straightens it
EYES: Blue
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5 feet and 6 inches – 115 pounds
Physical description: Natalia’s height is slightly above average, but her thin figure makes her appear much taller than she really is. She has always been slender, but was the shortest girl in her grade until her sophomore year of high school when she had an unexpected growth spurt. She stopped growing at the height of 5 foot 6, but is even taller when she wears heels. Her body is slim from dancing all her life, and she avoids gaining the “Freshman 15” by eating right and exercising.
Her figure and blonde hair are often described by others as being like a “Barbie Doll’s,” but without being anorexic-looking thin. She has clear blue eyes that change colors depending on the season. She doesn’t really like the shape of her nose, but would never get a nose job after seeing so many botched ones on celebrities and girls in her sorority and other girls on campus at WVU. Her lips aren’t exceptionally full or too thin, but are in the middle.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: The illusion that she is taller than she really is makes her stand out

OVERALL PERSONALITY: Natalia is not a stupid girl, she just makes stupid choices. She is also very creative and is very talented in art, her lifelong passion. She is very smart and upon her graduation with high honors from high school, she decided to attend West Virginia University to pursue a degree in Fine Arts and paid for college with her own money, but had a small amount of scholarship money for her art in high school. At WVU, which is ranked fourth on the list of party schools in the nation, Natalia found where she fit in, academically, artistically, and socially and quickly joined a sorority.
Natalia tries to hook up with every guy she can get her hands on and is willing. To put it simply, others think she is a slut, and she accepts this label, and even agrees. Even though Natalia is a party girl and labeled a slut, she is still the nicest person you will ever meet. Despite her only child upbringing, she doesn't act spoiled like some other only children. She is very outgoing and flirtatious towards everyone. She is a good listener and all her friends and all the girls in her sorority go to her when they have problems and she gives good advice.
Confident could be Natalia’s middle name. She is energetic about everything she does and has the confidence to go out and do anything she wants. She’s not afraid to take chances and risks, which is evident in her artwork and the thing’s that she does. She’s not afraid to approach guys or girls that she is attracted to and flirt with them, and if she wants to be with one of them, she will go for it no matter what and no matter the consequences. Jenna van Arden – 41 – Stay at home mom and riding instructor
Paul van Arden – 48 – Stable owner and riding instructor
SIBLINGS: none
OTHER FAMILY: No one she is really close to is still alive, both sets of grandparents died fairly young
PETS: none
OVERALL HISTORY: Natalia was born into a pretty ordinary, middle class family, but being an only child, she got almost everything she wanted as a child. Her parents owned a riding stable in Connecticut, it wasn't anything too fancy, but it was the only stable in town and all the riders in town went there. She began riding at the age of five on her beloved pony, Sunny. When she outgrew Sunny, she got a new pony, but with her unexpected growth spurt, she once again needed a taller horse.
Before Natalia began school, her parents could tell that she was very gifted academically and artistically. She was a social child and had a lot of friends growing up. It wasn’t until third grade though that she met her best friend, Amy. Amy was a year older than Natalia and had just moved to Connecticut when she began riding at Natalia’s family’s stable. As Amy and Natalia grew closer, Natalia realized that she had a small crush on her best friend. She was confused because she had always liked boys before. It wasn’t until Natalia went into high school that she realized that she was bisexual, but was more attracted to guys than she was to girls. As she went to college, her and Amy remain friends, but aren’t as close, because they both found a new group of friends at separate colleges.
In high school, Natalia seriously dated a few guys, but had many one night stands. Her friends went to college parties at the small college in their home town known for its crazy parties. Natalia prefers to date older guys and finds boys her age immature and not worth her time. She has never dated a girl before, despite her bisexuality because she is afraid of what her parents would do if they found out. She prefers to date guys anyway.
Despite her friendliness, she has accumulated a lot of enemies throughout the years. Those enemies are mostly the ex-girlfriends of the guys that she has gone out or hooked up with. Part of this stems from the fact that she most likely stole the guy from them. She has tried to reconcile with some of these people with no luck. Natalia chooses to just forgive and forget, even if the other person won’t do the same.
She needed to find a stable close to WVU in order to keep riding, and she found Pinewood. She is new there and still needs to find her place and friends at the stable.

HOW CAN A MAN BE ALL THAT THEY SAY
WHEN ALL THAT I KNOW IS MEN RUNAWAY?
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Drumming her fingers on the glossy wooden surface of the table she was sitting at in the Old Fashioned Soda Shoppe, Kylie looked around. Her ear buds were in her ears playing the music for her floor routine on repeat. In her head she was reviewing and going over the moves in the routine. She was still wearing her leotard underneath a thin athletic warm up jacket and warm up pants. Her hair was thrown up into a sleek ponytail held back with bobby pins and clips as she looked at the menu trying to decide what to order. She had trained extra hard today and after practice decided she deserved a treat to ice cream. Her muscles ached from the hours of gym time she had put in today and all Kylie wanted to do was crawl into bed and go to sleep.
A group of girls she knew went to the local public school tumbled in, giggling, each with a boy on her arm. Kylie rolled her eyes and scoffed at the foolishness of other girls her age and how much time and energy they put into petty little things like boys and perfect nail beds. Part of Kylie yearned for a “normal” life where she could go to parties and have a boyfriend, but there was no way her parents would let her “give up her dream.” In fact, Kylie was so used to her parents scoffing at teenage pleasures like boyfriends and parties, that she’d just adopted the lifestyle herself. She had realized a long time ago that if she wanted to be part of the Worlds team and further, a part of the Olympic team in 2012 she had to work her ass off now. She’d have time for parties and boys later.
Finally deciding on a strawberry frozen yogurt, she went up to the cash register and ordered. The worker handed her a small Styrofoam cup and she thanked him as she took it. She went back to the booth where she left her gymnastics bag and sat down, propping her feet up on the bench across from her. Kylie dug her spoon into the frozen dessert and put it in her mouth, letting it melt in her mouth. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d had ice cream. It was probably long before she began her serious training. Well here’s to me, she thought, silently toasting to herself as she looked around the shop once more. People were flooding in and out and she didn’t recognize a single face from the gym, the barn, or even just around town. She was literally all alone in the shop surrounded by unfamiliar faces in her familiar town. It was funny how being alone could really kill her mood; Kylie had finally nailed the Geinger flowing smoothly into her dismount at the end of her uneven bar routine. Her parents would be proud, but she realized that none of her other friends would really care, let alone know what on earth a Geinger even was. Her silver Blackberry buzzed on the bench next to her. congrats on the geinger kyy lets hang out sometime it was a text from her best friend at the gym, Paige. Well at least someone besides her and her parents cared.
At least she had gymnastics, and that, for now, was enough to keep her sane. Kylie kept her little world neat, tidy, and organized with little to no room for distractions or insanity. But just like she yearned for a “normal” life, she desired to have a little insanity in her life, just for the hell of it for once. She was never one for spontaneity and she wanted to give it a try. The most spontaneous thing she had ever done was decide what mount she was going to do on her beam routine last minute before a competition. She laughed a little to herself, probably looking like a complete lunatic, as she thought about how much that didn’t even count as being badass. Ah well, in the words of Father Tanner, spontaneity would be for “after the Olympics,” just like everything else.
