Personality Description:
Journey is a pretty mello gelding most the time. He loves race tracks, but of course he was a race-horse so that would be why. He loves to run, even at his old age he still has it in him for the most part. He is pretty quiet unless his friends are leaving him. Put a chocolate chip cookie in front of him and he will eat it immediately. If he was a dog he would roll over for you to scratch his belly. When turned out he will run and buck like a foal after immediately rolling.
History:
Journey was a race horse until he was about 8. He was retired and trained to be just an everyday ridable horse by age 10. Journey had such a nice and mello personality that becomeine a ridable horse was fairly easy. But learning to stop and slow down within a few strides was a hard task for a very long time.
Jason had gotten him when Journey was 11. Then Jason started learning to jump and ride english along with Journey. Journey had to now learn to collect himself, use his long legs, and carry himself with grace. It was all new to Journey. It took alot of work with the trainer to get Journey to the stage of jumping small jumps, then after that him and Jason learned together. .
Journey was showing at age 13 until he was about 16. Jason mostly showed at 4-H shows until him and Journey were jumping 6 foot fences. Journey had found a new love for it along with hunter under saddle. Journey had won many shows and also lost many shows. But he still tried his hardest to please his owner.
After Journey's show career ended with showing, Jason just started to ride him for pleasure and got into rodeo instead of showing. Journey ended up learning how to rope and being the second hand horse if Jason's rope horse got hurt. Then Jason's sister shown Journey in 4-H as well until just lately when Jason moved.
Discipline: Journey was a racehorse at 2 years to 8 years of age. He was retired and then became a huntseat/jumper horse. Now is mostly retired due to old age.
