Registered name: Shangri La
Barn Name: Shanti
Breed: Warmblood Cross

Age: 8

Personality Description:
Due to her past experiences Shanti is not a trustworthy mare. All in all, she is incredibly unpredictable and is not recommended at all for first time riders. However, in the right hands Shanti is an amazing ride. She will fly over a jump course, excel in dressage, and gallop across tranquil meadows like a dream. In experienced hands, that is. She can be easily spooked, and she can't be a carriage horse nor a parade horse.
Underneath her riding difficulties, Shanti is an incredibly sweet mare. She will nuzzle Rosina and comfort her, and knows when she is upset.
History:
Shanti was bred specifically for one purpose. Money. Her father was a famous flat racing champion, and her mother a three day eventing legend. This in the eyes of many people, was destined to be a fabulous horse. Shanti had an early start for training, the moment she turned six months old they had begun halter training her and parelli training her. She was part of the group of horses first used parelli as the basis of eventing training.
At the age of five she competed in her first eventing championships, doing extremely well, topping all scores. She quickly proceeded from championship to championship, playing at least 5th every time. However, while cross countrying at Scottsdale, a fox ran across the course and Shanti spooked will finishing a jump. She fell, her rider breaking her neck, and her left leg was fractured. Her eventing career was deemed a failure, and the rider being her owner there was no one to pay the vets costs.
However, it so happened Rosina had been watching the championships, and was present at Scottsdale. She had long admired Shangri La, and when she saw her fall she quickly went up to the vet's lodge and spoke to her. She rung her parents, and after some persuasion and promise of a job, her parents agreed to cover some of the costs.
Shangri La was Rosina's.
