HORSE NAME HERE
Owner Name: Jacquelyn Daniels
Owner Age: 21
Owner Occupation: bar tender
Other Horses? none
---------------------------------------------------------
Registered name: Vindicated
Barn Name: Vince
Breed: thoroughbred
Color: black no markings but for the brand
Age: 4
Gender: stallion
Height: 16.1
Personality Description: Unlike most racehorses, Vince is lazy and almost dull. He looks as though he would much rather sleep the day away than go anywhere. He is very curious, and has occasionally gotten himself into trouble for it. He hates exercising because of the cast on his leg which is horribly awkward, to say the least. He is fairly gentle, but like any young racehorse he can be unpredictable and has to be handled with care.
History: Vince was born on a thoroughbred racing farm with low expectations. Not wanting this foal on their hands, he was sent to auction as soon as he could be separated from his mother and went for a fairly low price. The buyer was convinced that the young horse would prove everyone wrong, and so named him Vindicated. Unfortunately, as training began and the economy started failing, Vince was doing anything but Vindicating his owner. He was lazy and was putting in some of the slowest times they had ever seen. So again, he went to auction, and this time was purchased by a trainer who was convinced any horse could be beaten into speed.
By the time he was a three year old he was being beaten around the track in race after race, losing them all. Finally they started putting him in claiming races, but no one would claim him, and no one would buy him. Despite the beatings, his personality remained unchanged. Lazy docile... worthless. Plans were made to send him to auction again after one last race, and as he crossed the finish line last, still being mercilessly beaten by his rider, he took a bad step and went down with a broken leg. They took him to the vet but it was decided by the owner that they didn't want to spend the money on him. It just so happened that Jacq had seen the race and the fall and followed them to the vet, convinced the owner to give him to her, and made her first measly payment of the $5000 she had to pay for the surgery. It has been several long months since the surgery and he has been moved to Pinewood Stable and is now in a cast that only goes up to his knee.
Discipline: flat racing
Anything else? has a broken leg
