Waking up at home in the morning wasn't hard. He showered quickly and got dressed into his stable clothes for working with his horses. He would grab a quick bite on the way to the stable so he wasn't hungry after working with his young horse today. Being a race horse trainer is a tough job. But, no one had called him up to train for them yet. So, he was working with his own horses that weren't made for races. He was also training a gelding for one of his close friends but only as a favour. So, he had his work cut out for himself now. Getting in the truck he started to the stable in order to work with his young horse, Farcry.
He went through drive through of some fast food place to eat a quick breakfast. He ate while he drove. He left the garabe on the seat next to him and turned the radio on. His not so favourite song was on but he didn't seem to mind at all. He hoped his young horse would listen today unlike last time he worked with the young stallion. He was almost bucked right off his feet. Since the stallion was only two he couldn't even be ridden yet. So, he was always lunging him in a couple racing ways he knew. But, knew the young boy couldn't race with his breeding.
He pulled into the stable parking and shut off his truck. He jumped out and entered the barn to groom his four horses and feed them before working Farcry. He came to Rocket Man's stall. He entered and started to groom the colored mustang. Rocky ignored Duke as he started to groom him. He knew the gelding was only used when he didn't have to rain Farcry or work with Muddy Shake or Tens Golden Nugget. So he only groomed the gelding twice a day after he's been out to pasture or something.
He finished grooming and feeding all four of them an hour later. He haltered Farcry and clipped the lead rope on him. He even placed a saddle on him to make the training worth it. He held a lunge rope in his other hand as he led Farcry to thr ring outside. He entered the ring and the first thing he did was turn Farcry away from him. He was doing something he always did with Farcry only. He had learned this from his good friend Lara Tannor. He was joining up with Farcry.
He watched Farcry circle around him in a circle and noticed the signs faster today. So, he let the stud come back over. He clipped the lunge on and moved him away again and started to get him to do his paces. He knew once the young horse turned three it would be riding time to see if the training paid off. But it would only finish off the training after being ridden at least five times. Then the young horse would be either put up for sale or maybe even try to put him in races.
