Registered name: Hot Topic
Barn Name: Hothead
Breed: Selle Francais
Color: Dark Brown
Age: Four
Gender: stallion
Height: 17 hands
Personality Description:
Hothead is, as his name implies, very temperamental. He is cocky and confident, and most of the time he refuses to listen to anyone but an experienced rider. He doesn't shy, in fact, he's more likely to attack it then run. His attitude makes for a hard ride, but there's nothing he likes better than pleasing Donovan, since he sees Donovan as 'worthy' enough to ride him. He's territorial over his own area, and doesn't hesitate to nip here and there to ward others away from him. Hauty and aloof, he's truly a hotheaded animal. He rides very easily once he's calmed down enough to listen. He enjoys what he does, the challenge and rythem of show-jumping usually makes into a semi-docile animal. He is a terrible flirt around females, and has yet to learn the sigs a mare gives when she's not interested. However, he doesn't usually fight anyone. He's more likely to go find some other horse to bug.
History: Hothead was actually raised to be a simple pleasure horse. However, he always had an affinity for jumping. He learned it easy, when the right handler had him. As a colt, he had it easy. Then he was sold to trail-riding company. He wasn't suited for the boring, same thing day after day. He grew to be temperamental and hasty, always trying to do his own thing simply because he couldn't stand being a trai horse. He was sold not long afterwards to a child's farm. This was even worse for him. Small grabbing hands just didn't suit him.
He was sent to Donovan's grandfather's farm because he'd bitten a child. His grandfather realized that Hothead was indeed a great jumper and Donovan liked the horse. He taught them to ride together. At first, Donovan had a had time even managing Hothead's ways. However, both eventually realized the strength in each other and grew to respect and love them.
Discipline: English/Showjumping.
Anything else?Often ridden just for pleasure.
